About
The Short Version
TetherClaw was built by someone who got tired of being the sync between their phone and their desktop — manually carrying context that the technology should carry.
The Real Story
TetherClaw was built in April 2026. The founder is a certified welding inspector — on job sites, on the move, phone in hand. Already deep into AI agents, using them to stay organized, think through problems, and handle work that piles up outside of job site hours.
The problem was the context gap.
During the day — on job sites, between inspections — phone in hand, working through decisions with AI agents. Get home, open the desktop — that context wasn't there. Start over. Build something at night at the desktop. Next morning on the phone — gone again.
Manually carrying information between two interfaces that had no idea the other existed.
On April 16th, the question came up: is there a way to stop going over everything again? That question opened a rabbit hole. Somewhere in that conversation, the idea clicked.
This wasn't a unique problem. Every person running AI agents had the same gap. Nobody had built a clean solution.
Not another messaging app. The same conversation, picked up exactly where it left off.
Sixteen days later, TetherClaw was submitted to the App Store.
How It Was Built
TetherClaw was built the same way it gets used — with AI agents, late at night, after the kids were asleep. Work during the day, build at night, repeat.
The product was stress-tested by the person who built it, using the tools being built, in real conditions. When we say TetherClaw works, it's because we lived with it.
What We Believe
AI tools are only as useful as the context they carry. The best AI in the world is still frustrating if it asks you to re-explain yourself every session. Memory isn't a feature — it's the foundation.
That's what TetherClaw is built on.
